Seek-2-Serve

Serving Others and Loving It!


Seek-2-Serve is a group of 1st - 6th graders who strive each month to complete service projects and show others that serving God and others can be fun. We meet in Room 4 in the South Hall on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. In the past, we’ve made cards for the shut-ins and sick/injured church members, made baby blankets for Akron Pregnancy Services, made jewelry to send to one of our church’s missionaries, prepared gift baskets for the office and custodial staff of AMBC, visited our local fire station to say “thanks” for serving our community, and weeded the flower beds on the front lawn of the church.

“When I was asked to start a class on Sunday evenings, I thought for a while about what I wanted that class to become. I knew that the children who would attend at first would be the ones who had been in church since birth. They know what the Bible says about Noah and Moses and Paul. the question is, do they know how to take what they learn in church and use it to become true servants of God? Thus, Seek-2-Serve was born.”
