Weddings

The marriage covenant is a sacred institution that has been established by God and, therefore, ought not to be entered into by anyone without much thought, preparation, and prayer.


God designed and instituted the marriage relationship in the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:18-25). It was during a marriage feast that His Son, Jesus of Nazareth, chose to perform His first miracle (John 2:1-11). Also, the Apostle Paul, writing under the inspiration of God, the Holy Spirit, explained that the marriage relationship has been hand-picked by God to illustrate the mystical relationship between the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, and His Bride, the church (Eph. 5:22-33).


In light of these truths, Arlington Memorial Baptist Church is committed to upholding and protecting the sacred role the marriage relationship plays in the family and in the culture. We are concerned about doing all that we can in order to adequately prepare you for a successful and satisfying marriage relationship.
